Who wants to be the director of a virtual mine in the Dnipro?
Approximately such topics are being discussed today in the press and in social networks among the community of the Dnipro region. This theme has aroused as a result of a number of publications and other events related to the implementation of the project by scientists from the National Mining University in conjunction with Polish, Greek, Spanish, Slovak and Slovenian partners (coordinator of the project KGHM Cuprum Ltd. Research & Development Centre, Wrocław, Poland) in the frame of European Institute of Innovation & Technology, (EIT), Raw Materials and financed by EU Program Horizon - 2020 VirtualMine: as a modeling tool for Wider Society Learning.
The main leitmotiv of this was the publication of the well-known Ukrainian journalist Natalia Andryushchenko in the main periodical magazine of the Pridniprovsky region - the newspaper Dnipro Vechirnii, dated: November 22, 2017 under the heading: In City Dnipro will be Created Virtual Mine. This article describes the main purpose, as well as the already conducted work on the task of the project. The journalist emphasizes the importance of such works for our region and the possibility of the implementation of simulation software in mining, as well as other fields of human activity. This topic was picked in social networks. During the discussion, the contributors raised questions about the implementation stages, the possibilities and necessity of such projects for the fuel and energy sector of our country, also they sincere wishes to participants of the successful implementation of the project.
