Study of the operating electric power losses dynamics in the power supply systems elements Project author: National Mining University, Department of Renewable Energy Sources, Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine). Project objective: Improving the efficiency of power supply due to reduction of technical and commercial electric power losses on the basis of accounting and formation of power and control elements of power supply systems modes. Project background: Currently, there is the rise in absolute and relative values of power losses almost everywhere, therefore much attention is paid to reduction the electric power losses through the development of more accurate methods of the electric power losses determination in all power systems elements. The specialists note a significant excess of the actual electric power losses values during electric networks transmission in comparison with the normative ones. This is due to the fact that technical condition of the electrical components deteriorates during the power supply systems operation because of their wear and aging due to exposure to environmental factors, the conditions in which it work. The power supply systems aging and heavy wear cause additional electric power losses, which is especially typical for electrical equipment in continuous operation and in cases of untimely or low-quality scheduled repairs and maintenance. To achieve this aim it is necessary to: investigate the dynamics of changes in the physical characteristics and technical losses in overhead power lines and power transformers during the operation life as the main elements forming the electric power losses during transmission; investigate the influence of measuring transformers critical operating conditions on the error of energy accounting systems and the formation of commercial losses. |
