Project background: The design of power units, which based on the inner combustion engines, has developed up to its limit. That is why its further improvement can not drastically increase a coefficient of efficiency. Present engine has a coefficient of efficiency at the rate of about 25-30% that is lay within the area of theoretical maximum. Another difficulty is impossibility to recuperate the accumulated kinetic energy in braking regime (the whole energy transforms into heat within braking system).Meanwhile, the usage only the electric transport vehicle is economically unreasonable. It is based on the absence of infrastructure for charging accumulators and, actually, accumulators of reasonable price which fit the consumer wants. That is why the most perspective development direction in the nearest future is hybrid transport vehicles (Hybrid electric vehicle, HEV) and vehicles that plug in power grid (Plug-in Hybrid electric vehicle, pHEV).In terms of projectHIM-GDE(Hybrid Improved Motor – Green Driving Efficiency) there is planed to devise scientific-technical grounding how to select parameters of hybrid power unit with inner combustion engine in context of increasing efficiency, energy-saving, ecological compatibility and minimization of exploitation costs.
