Assessment of the ecological status of water bodies according to the data of multispectral airspace images

Project objective. Automation of digital mapping the surface pollution of water objects on the territory of Ukraine with the use of geoinformation systems (GIS) and airspace technologies.

Project background. Developed geoinformation technology operates the data of remote sensing (RS) of the Earth from space – the multispectral images, covering the shooting area of over 100 square kilometres.

During the specialized image processing of water objects, the captured equipment RS satellites in different bands of the electromagnetic spectrum using Data Mining and GIS tools are built digital distribution maps of the surface pollution of objects. The state of withdrawals is being assessed, the temperature (dynamic) regime is being monitored etc.
