The technology of the heat mapping cities from space Project author: National Mining University, Department of Geoinformation Systems, Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine) Project objective. On the basis of geoinformation technologies generating digital maps of the temperature distribution areas with their subsequent quantification. Project background. Developed geoinformation technology allows with the help of specialized geoinformation systems (GIS) using aerospace remote sensing (RS) data generating digital maps of distribution of heat and placement of air temperature anomalies, thermal profiles, two-dimensional and three-dimensional digital models of heat distribution within the city. Technological process of processing of aerospace data far (thermal) infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum in GIS allows to obtain two-dimensional and three-dimensional models of heat distribution within the limits of areas of research. Using the mathematical model of the processing, heat loss is quantified certain objects of study. |
